Root canal treatment takes a single, 1-2 hour appointment at Clear Smile Dental Studio. First, Dr. Park or Dr. Kwon will begin by cleaning and numbing your mouth. Next, your tooth will be trimmed to remove damaged enamel, and to create a small opening in the tooth.
Through this opening, Dr. Kwon or Dr. Park will remove the decayed and damaged material from the inside of your tooth. Then, your tooth will be cleaned and sanitized, and filled with an inert substance that replaces the pulp and strengthens your tooth roots. Finally, your tooth will be restored. Dr. Kwon and Dr. Park may choose to use a filling or a dental crown, depending on the location of your tooth.
AFTERCARE & RECOVERY

Despite what you may have heard about root canals from popular culture, they are minimally invasive. There is no long aftercare or recovery process, and you can go back to your day-to-day routine or even back to work immediately after having a root canal from our Stamford office.
